SponsoredLever-Action Rifle Deals
Updated October 18, 2026
Lever guns get lumped into one sale banner. A pistol-caliber carbine and a rifle-caliber hunting gun are not substitutes. .22 LR, pistol calibers, .30-30, and the newer straight-wall hunting rounds each have their own ammunition and their own job. Match the caliber stamped on the barrel before you compare the percent off.
Barrel length and the stock are the next cut. A short carbine and a longer hunting rifle can share a model name. Tube capacity changes with barrel length on many of these guns, so a "same model" claim can still be a different capacity. Threaded versus plain muzzle matters only if you have a plan for it. A threaded muzzle is not a suppressor. The can has its own rules in the suppressor guide.
Ammo is the other price
A lever gun in .22 LR is inexpensive to feed relative to a centerfire hunting round. Check rimfire ammunition the same day. Centerfire hunting loads follow the .308 and hunting ammo rules: the bullet has a job, and a cheap FMJ is not that job. Live rifles are on gun deals. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore clearance is one place a hunting lever gun shows up.

Questions people ask
Are pistol-caliber and rifle-caliber lever guns the same?
No. Match the caliber on the barrel. The ammunition and the job are different.
Does barrel length matter?
Yes. It changes the gun's length and, on many lever guns, how many rounds the tube holds.
