Best Deals on AR-15 Rifles

Updated October 17, 2026

An AR deal is only comparable with another AR of the same completeness. A stripped lower is the serialized firearm in a normal build. An upper is a part. A complete rifle includes the lower, the upper, a bolt carrier group, a charging handle, and furniture you can shoot. Retailers mix all three on one sale page. The percent off does not tell you which one you are looking at. The title does.

Barrel length, gas system, and caliber are the next cut. A 16 inch carbine in 5.56 is the default comparison. A pistol-length build, a 20 inch rifle, and a .300 Blackout gun are different products with different ammo bills. If the sale gun ships without a bolt carrier group, it is not competing with a complete rifle at a similar price. It is competing with the parts you still have to buy. That guide is here.

Ammo is part of the price

A cheap AR in 5.56 is inexpensive to feed relative to most centerfire rifles, and it is still not free. Check 5.56 and .223 deals in the same sitting. Palmetto State Armory is the shop most people mean when they say daily AR deals. KYGUNCO is the other place those rifles show up when the price is actually down.

Questions people ask

Is a complete rifle the same deal as a builder kit?

No. A complete rifle, a kit, and a stripped lower are different products. Compare the same level of finish, including whether a bolt carrier group and charging handle are in the box.

Where do AR markdowns show up?

The guns board and the parts board, plus the daily deal pages at the shops we track. Ammunition for the rifle is its own search.
